Hello Fellow Longhorn Fans,

2009 is here and we will be having many fun events coming this year including celebrating Texas Independence Day on Monday March 2nd.

If you have ideas on a Texas Independence Day celebration in the Piedmont-Triad area, please email us at info@texasexestriad.com by February 2nd. Your suggestions will be considered and greatly appreciated.

Also, stay tuned for further updates on some exciting alumni events we have coming up!

Texas Independence Day is the celebration of the adoption of the Texas Declaration of Independence on March 2, 1836. The Texas Declaration of Independence was created by the Convention of 1836, which took place at Washington-on-the-Brazos.Texas Independence Day is an official holiday in the State of Texas.
